Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited in the Journal Synergia Economia. The Turnitin plagiarism checker is used to evaluate the similarity of each manuscript. The Editor reviews the results to identify potential cases of plagiarism, and a similarity report is provided to the author. The editorial team takes the following actions based on the similarity index:
- Similarity index above 50%: The manuscript is immediately rejected due to extensive similarity or poor paraphrasing.
- Similarity index between 20% and 50%: The manuscript is returned to the author for revision. The author must improve paraphrasing and ensure all sources are correctly cited.
- Similarity index below 20%: While acceptable, minor corrections or additional citations may still be required to ensure all sourced text is appropriately acknowledged.
In the second and third cases, authors must carefully revise their work, focusing on accurate quoting and paraphrasing. To proceed to publication, the final Turnitin report must show a similarity index of less than 20%.
